About Smoke Stories

I'm Flick, founder of Menteath Smoke Infused Skincare and Scent and Smoke Stories.

Menteath began as a personal idea that grew into something much bigger. Building the brand taught me about resilience, people, money, trust and the realities of creating something from nothing. It also sparked a deeper interest in the relationship between scent, memory, emotion and wellbeing.

From Public Health to the Senses

While Smoke Stories began through a fascination with culture, identity and human behaviour, my work with Menteath led me back to many of the questions that first drew me to public health: how do our environments shape us, what influences our behaviours, and how can creative approaches support wellbeing and connection?

What began as a skincare brand evolved into a wider exploration of creativity, culture, sensory experiences and community engagement.

Today, Smoke Stories sits at the intersection of arts, culture, wellbeing, enterprise and community. From immersive events such as Nocturne at Artwave 2026 to emerging creative health, enterprise and community programmes, we develop projects that connect creativity with real-world impact.
